Finding the Best Electronic Cigarette
With the large number of brands, features and models of electronic cigarettes
that are available now, it’s becoming increasingly more complicated to find the best electronic cigarette that
meets your needs. In this article, I’ll attempt to demystify some of the criteria in making a ecig
choice. Hopefully, after reading this, you’ll be in a better position to find the best electronic
cigarette that exceeds your expectations.
The first thing to consider when choosing and ecigarette is the overall look of the device. For me, my
first electronic cigarette was meant to be a replacement for analog cigarettes, so its appearance had to resemble
as closely as possible, the dimensions of a regular old tobacco smoke.
Ecigarettes come in a number of sizes, so you may want to visit your local mall to get a feel for the electronic
cigarette. One thing that will immediately get your attention is how much heavier ecigs are than traditional
cigarettes, even if the dimensions are virtually the same. Don’t worry… you will get used to it.
The next consideration is vapor volume. Again, if your intention is to replace traditional cigarettes,
then as surprising as it may sound, but vapor volume really isn’t that important. What’s far more important
is throat hit. Much like a traditional cigarette has a noticeable throat hit, you will also want you ecig to
match. The vapor is definitely secondary to this.

Your next consideration will be nicotine level. Depending on the ecig maker, these will come in either
levels of none, low, medium or high or quantities such as 4mg, 8mg, 11mg, all the way up to 36mg.
Now even if you were a unfiltered “pure lead” smoker previously, you may want to lower your initial nicotine
level selection, since at first, the ecig will be quite a novel device and you’ll find yourself “vaping” far more
than you every previously smoked. Don’t worry, once the novelty wares off, you’ll get into a regular and more
reasonable routine.
One other consideration which I personally found very important was the battery life. As I’ve said, for
me, vaping was meant to entirely replace smoking. So I needed to have a model that looked and performed like
a cigarette. Unfortunately this typically means a smaller size ecig and consequently an electronic cig where
the battery will not last all day.
Fortunately some of the better ecig kits have PCC’s or personal charging cases. These cases look much like
a regular cigarette box and contain a previously charged battery. The PCC battery in turn charges the
electronic cigarette battery. I personally found these great, since I’m able to carry an ecig or two and a
couple carts and go all day without having to worry about finding a socket!
So there you have a few of the requirements that I look for in my electronic cigarette selections. Hopefully,
this has given you some food for thought and will aid you in find the best electronic cigarette that works for
you.
